Sometimes in the morning I get hungry. Not always, but sometimes.
And sometimes when I get this hunger, I need to feed it. To silence it.
Eggs will not do. Bacon will not do. And while I’m not a millennial, it’s been a while since I’ve dabbled in breakfast cereal.
Because those take time. And we all know that when I wake up at 7 am for a 10 am start, there just isn’t enough time. I totally understand the pressures and constraints all those people with young children face in the morning. It’s such a rush of things to do and get done. Seriously, it’s crazy. It’s like I’m living it, but without the kids.
Cheesecake, on the other hand, is easy. I just pop open the freezer. Slide out the box which clearly states “Delicious Cheesecake” on the outside (I can rest assured that the only kind of cheesecake I’m going to be eating will be the delicious kind) from between the frozen spinach and the indistinguishable, icy stalagmite coated leftovers. Flip the cardboard tab free. And presto!
Slice of cheesecake goodness on a plate. All in the time it takes me to make my caramel flavoured coffee.
And because of this time-saving breakfast ingenuity, I still have 2 hours and 23 minutes to spare before I have to leave for work.
